My business is scanning photos, particularly old family photos. My interest in this started when I started scanning family photos for my grandmother. I realised this could be a need for many families.

 

The Christchurch earthquake also made me realise that many families could lose their heritage in a disaster. Saving the photos and storing them off site means people have a chance of keeping their treasures.

 

I have done some research into keeping the photos safe. Gareth Winter from the Wairarapa Archives was a great help with this and other ideas such as making power point presentations.

I attended the CSBM Course facilitated by Jeanette Hall on behalf Te Whanga Aoteroa

I set this business up so that it eventually will lead to both employment and financial independence as part of completing this course.
